Time to start writing my own articles

Auto Date Tuesday, February 28th, 2006

Note Pad Article IconFor quite some time I have made use of free reprintable articles to help boost the content within websites that I set up online. This not only serves to make the site look useful, but also to fill the site with relevant content while not actually having to write most of it.

This site (Brighton Vibes) is one exception to that as I tend to write everything myself and occasionally throw in a useful article for good measure, like a nice cake for you to all enjoy. Read the rest of this entry »

Multiple Site Networking

Auto Date Saturday, February 25th, 2006

Network Menu BarIf you are anything like me you will come up with the “perfect” idea for a website and go skipping off to buy the “perfect” domain name to go with. At this point I tend to have a memory lapse and totally forget I purchased the domain which in turn means it sits, doing nothing, for months.

I have decided that it is time to take an inventory of all the domains that I have and organise them in an excel spreadsheet which I will make available here shortly for anyone else that wishes to organise their domain names. Keeping things organised is certainly high up on my list of things to do now as the more “perfect” ideas I have the more domains I can forget about. Read the rest of this entry »

ARTICLE: Taking Paid Surveys Online

Auto Date Thursday, February 23rd, 2006

SurveysDid you know that every year companies world wide spend an excessive amount of $250 billion dollars trying to sell their products and services. Almost a billion of this money spent goes straight into market research. And this is why online paid surveys pay so much.

If you spent a couple of million dollars developing a new product you’d want to make sure people like it and you’d also want to know all things that people don’t like about it. Paid surveys are a perfect place to test new products and services before companies launch them publicly. Read the rest of this entry »

My Very Own E-Book

Auto Date Wednesday, February 22nd, 2006

Notebook and PencilAfter having spent the last year or so creating pretty meaty web sites and messing with adwords to try affiliate marketing I have finally decided to take the plunge and write my own E-Book.

It is not quite that straight forward though. My plan is not just to make the same old bog standard E-Book that you see, with the garish marketing page with large red text at the top. I am going to try out some new advertising methods which are essentially totally un-tapped by even the biggest online marketers and e-book sellers. Read the rest of this entry »

ARTICLE: Targeting A Niche Market

Auto Date Wednesday, February 22nd, 2006

Niche Market Post ImageTargeting a niche provides focus for your website and has great appeal to search engines as it gives them a better idea of the sort of traffic they should send you. Try to determine where your market is. Are they parents? Retirees? Home owners? Pet lovers? If you are selling art supplies you may find hobby sites will cater to your audience. If you sell information for do-it-yourself projects you could show up in home decorating as well as financial sites (’Save Money on Home Building Projects!’ for example). Google Adwords 123 E-Book

Auto Date Wednesday, February 22nd, 2006

Google Adwords 123 Book CoverGreg takes the reader through the precise process you need to go through to set up your Google AdWords account, how to get things organized effectively and how you should get set up to track the success of your AdWords campaigns. If you know how to do this you may well get a little frustrated but hang on in there.

This latter section is obviously useful for beginners but more experienced users like myself can also benefit. It is in this section that Greg clearly demonstrates why he became VP of Sales and Marketing for a $232 million company. He’s a very sharp guy.

One suggestion on sales conversion tracking alone is so obvious but it worth the cost of this ebook! It is so simple and obvious yet so powerful.

I can safely say I have not yet seen a better ebook written on using Google AdWords for affiliate marketing. What makes Greg’s success even more remarkable is that he only started affiliate marketing in January 2004 and just a few months later was making the kinds of daily profits people can only dream about.

Just in the last 3 weeks, using the techniques it describes, I have managed to increase my AdWords affiliate marketing profits by some 50%. And this is just the start. His techniques work. Don’t doubt it. I’m using them each day myself.

The book is written by: Greg Helsin.
My Rating: 7/10 - Great Earner!

Setting Up Brighton Vibes

Auto Date Friday, February 10th, 2006

chicken-start-eggIt’s taken a few days to get everything how I want. It will most likely take a few more days to actually get everything finished and 100%. Either way the site is now here and finally running on the WordPress platform as I intended.

It’s amazing that it took roughly 2 mins to get a full working content management system (aka WordPress) online but that it has taken over 2 days to sort out the look and feel. This is my own fault really as I decided not to use one of the many themes available for wordpress and instead opted to work up my own based on ideas I have seen around the net. Earnings for January 2005

Auto Date Wednesday, February 1st, 2006

Sack of MoneyWell I don’t know about you, but to me January seemed like an exceptionally long month. Couple that with the fact that Christmas, New Years and my Brothers birthday happened around it I can quite honestly say it hasleft me pretty skint!

Anway, onto the important stuff. The earnings for January were very similar in pattern to a rollercoaster, simply because I found some days were high and some days may as well have not happened. Let’s crack on with the break down: Read the rest of this entry »
