Indexed Domain Names for Sale

Auto Date Wednesday, March 29th, 2006

sold signI buy domains. Lots of them. Too many in fact! And when I recently decided to move hosting I bawked at the idea of having to drag them all over with me, as such I have only moved my best ones and now I have decided to sell the ones that are left.

The key here is that I don’t buy rubbish domains. Almost every one is a very good and well thought out name that took me a long time to hunt down and get hold of. Additionally, pretty much every one of them has had a site hosted on it at some point and is indexed in google, complete with backlinks etc.

Domains like this are hard to come by but I have lots of them that have just stacked up over the years and now I am looking to sell them. But how? My first choice was to just let them expire, but that is wasted money. I am also happy for anyone that reads this site to request a list or make me an offer for any of them. But I get the feeling there are really only 2 realistic options.

I could stick some pages up on them using rssgm and makes a few hundred per domain, which, now I have written it seems like a good idea. Or I could put a site up on them, get them earning a bit, then sell them on ebay or a domain seller indicating that they get the website too.

The problem with all of this is yet more work, and what will the out come be? I value my time highly because I know in the real world I am worth a lot, its not egotistical, it’s just fact based on my pay slips. I would be happy to sell the domains cheaply and just be rid of them with a bit more cash to invest in my own projects.

I guess what I am saying is, does anyone want to see the list? Would anyone be interested? Or does anyone have any other suggestions? Time to do some thinking.

Hi! Just want to say thanks for the comment on my site… and to say that I totally dig your site’s layout. :)

About domain names. I would be interested in seeing what you might have for sale. To offer a suggestion if you’re serious about selling - I know SEDO you can park your domain - make some money… offer the site up for sale. Or you could offer a list - PayPal/Transfer that sort of thing. The latter may be less secure? Just some random blurbage for you :)

Thank you for your kind comments as well. I have been looking into SEDO myself and it may be the route I take.

I look forward to reading more of your posts on your site and your comments on this one.

I have the habit of doing the same thing… except for the part about buying useful domain names with backlinks.

I would be interested in taking a look at the list for sale.

Are some of these sites developed but not up? You had mentioned a few that were developed and indexed in google but a lot of these aren’t linking through to sites when I browse to them.

Just wondering. I would be interested in some developed sites if you have the domains with them. It would add nicely to what I am trying to build.

They ‘were’ developed, but as mentioned in the first post, I had to move hosting providers and decided to not try and drag everything over, so they have been left ‘dead’ for a few weeks.

All the backlinks should remain and most the domains are still in Google, once content goes on them they would pop back up again :)
