Ok, the terms and conditions for adwords has been updated if you have a read. The lines between organic and paid positions are about to blur BIG TIME!

Google are now going to be crawling the “landing” pages / the page that visitors arrive at when clicking an adwords advert. They will use this information to rank the adverts, very much like the organic / natural results that we are already used to.

It will be interesting to see how the PPC companies deal with this change. Will they start creating the landing pages, optimising them, essentially doubling the work they have to do for the ranks? As part of my quest to play on ebay with drop shipping I have decided to tie it all in with an online store to increase my chances of sales. I have decided to focus on water as the subject as that opens up the gates to a whole world of products which can be easily taken off into their own sections as required.

One of the key elements I am working into the development of the WaterUtopia.com online store is the SEO changes that will be required to get good rankings for the products. The domain has been live for less than 24 hours and has already been hit by the spiders. Fingers crossed this is a sign of fast indexing about to happen. Read the rest of this entry »

Ok, a little while since an update was made here on the blog. This has mainly be due to the fact that most of my posting is now done in the Brighton Vibes Forums where everyone is hanging out these days.

A few updates that you may be interested in are as follows; The forums have been update with some new features and indeed a spanky new look that so far has got nothing but kind comments from all the members.

Next on the list is the start of dateburn.com and your chance to follow it through to completion via the development blog on the site. To be honest, there is so much that has heppened you are best off just going straight into the forums.

As you have all come to know by now I make a point of being quite detailed about everything I do in order to earn money online, I mean that is the point of a ‘Diary’ right?

I seem to have missed spring this year, however looking at the dreary weather outside here in the UK it seems that Summer is passing by with a “no show” as well.

I figure it is time to give everything a bit of a clean and a sort out. First up is to tidy my domains list. To do this I have listed them all on SEDO so that they will either sell, or make a bit of cash without me having to do much with them at the moment. You may recall that I started a project to try and get to the top for Chocolate Cake Recipes as it generates many thousands of searches a month. Well I thought you may all like an update on how the site was doing.

At the time of writing this it is in 2nd place on MSN for the term “Chocolate Cake Recipes” which is pretty snazzy for about 3 weeks of being live. The site is simply a wordpress site with articles about chocolate cakes. That’s it. And now it is at the top of the results.

The site is getting traffic from MSN and Google on quite a large number of terms and I chose today to stick adsense into the site. I will keep you all posted on how well the site does and any new results that start to show up.

Most of my money making sites use wordpress in one form or another, but it is somtimes hard to cram ads into a wordpress template. While checking my usual haunts for wordpress themes I happened upon this snappy little number that has kept adsense in mind.

It may not be the smartest template in the world, but the idea with the tabs for the Google link bars is a stroke of genius. I had not even noticed that it was a google adsense link bar until I read the details of the template.

It just goes to show that blending ads into your template design is the best way to go for sure. Does anyone have a website or know of a site with some funky adsense integration that would be sure to increase click throughs? I plan to do a big thing on adsense blending in the near future so some examples would be well recieved (clicked on )
