Getting more visitors, orders, MSN and Google

Auto Date Thursday, June 22nd, 2006

topHeader.gifIt’s time for another update regarding WaterUtopia.com and the orders / visitors that are coming to the site.

The domain has now been indexed in Google and is awaiting a full crawl and pagerank to be performed for the site. Once this happens I am sure that both visitors and orders will increase. Currently all the orders and visitors I have had are from MSN, which is a sign of great things to come when everything is settled in Google.

Below you can see the visitor stats for the site to the present date which give a good indication of what is to come when things really pick up. To date the store has processed a little over £300 quid in orders. If I shipped internationally these numbers would be higher as I kept getting orders from the States, alas I have now made the show only allow UK signups, though I hope to start shipping internationally once things pick up.

On top of the drop shipper service that I use to supply my current products I will soon be listing Fish tanks and other accessories from a local store near where I live that has been established for around 25 years. This is a win-win as the shop has a really bad website, plus if I can give them more orders they wont complain so they seem really happy to come on board. Great! Exclusive products that I can sell via the net without holding stock!

Dave, great news, those stats look really promising. How’s the dating site coming along?

Great stats, especially for the last few days. If only I had the space for a blow up swimming pool!! :D

The dating site is on hold due to an even more exciting project that I am working on with Alex.

All I will say for now is that “Betty Knows Best” ;)

Thanks for the comments on the stats. I will keep you all posted. Do you have any tracking software you would recommend for tracking seo leads through to a conversion?

Your fish tank idea sounds like a good one, and you are correct in saying that it would work out well for both the local offline company and yourself.

I wonder, are you marking up their prices, or are they giving you “similar to dropship” rates? Also, how did you go about approaching this company?
