Alas I have not found a minting or cash printing machine in my loft (or attic for the folks over the pond). What I have actually found is an old HP lazer / laser printer of mine that I threw up there a number of years back.

Upon seeing the tank sized beast I recalled that it prints pretty darn good prints. It also has a brand new toner cartridge sitting the other end of the roof just in case the one that’s in there no longer wants to play. This particular printer gave me a wonderfully interesting money making idea.

I spoke a few months back in the forums about printing sticky labels to chuck in phone boxes, pub toilets, bus stops etc but never actually got around to making any and trying it out properly. Since then I have also toyed with the idea of creating some mystery flyers and putting them in my local shops and pubs for customers to view and take at their own pace.

Today that printer is being set up on my machine and is going to churn out hundreds of flyers and stickers in order to fullfill this idea at last! The main played in this will be the Rich Jerk affiliate program as it has one of the best sales pages and really gets the viewer thinking they can have millions in a matter of moments. A few other ones may be giving up smoking and weightloss but I will have a search for good programs later and see where we go.

I will not be buying a domain for each of these, instead I will use the sub domains at netdosh.com to get people directed straight to the site required. This should mean that I have no initial outlay other than a bit of my time and a couple of quid getting some good stock images and photos to give the prints a sharp look.

The reason that I said they flyers will be a mystery is because I am going to try and put as little information on there as possible so they feel they “have” to look at the website address to know what it is all about. I feel this will be the best way to get eyes to the sites and let the well crafted sales pages that I didn’t have to write do the rest.

What will be interesting to see is which programs convert better in the long run. I would assume that location will be a big plus as well. E.g. a petrol station for the rich jerk flyers, gents toilets for viagra stickers, kebab shop for weight loss, doctors surgery for quiting smoking etc. I think you get the general idea.

I will of course keep you all posted on this. At first I am not going to track the traffic via the domains, I will only track the sales as once the paper is placed somewhere that’s about all I can do. I know many are going to scream at me for not tracking, and in fact while I have been typing this very paragraph I have updated my scheme. I am going to put a sqeeze page in the middle of the url and the affiliate site so that I can capture names and email addresses from each of the flyers. This way even if they don’t buy I end up with a nice list to market to in the future.
