New Mobile Spreading Website

Auto Date Wednesday, August 2nd, 2006

logo2.jpgYou may have seen that things were a bit quiet for the last few days around here. Well there is good reason for this, a new site that I have launched that once again ties in mobile technology to a website to enable a mobile viral money making solution!

Just what am I on about? Well you may recall that I recently launched TextAnonymous.com where you can send anonymous text messages? Well…

The new project is a step on from that service where users can have a pre-set anonymous text message sent to someone that they like. If that person then sends one back the site will let them both know that they are a perfect match! To see for yourself and perhaps even try it out simply go to YourMyCrush.com (UK Users only at present, sorry).

The site backend was once again developed for my by Alex at DotComDosh on his tiny daily rate of about £300 - £400 quid. Seeing as it took just a couple of days for him to put together my project I think that the rate was very good. Don’t agree? Think about the money making potential of this site! Within just 15 mins of the site going live it made £6! MSN picked up the site today (one day after launch), and I am about to make a nice strong myspace ‘push’ with the site too.

To really start the advertising drive I have purchased some cheap but very cool advert positions on some websites via AdBrite in addition to adding a block of code to the homepage of YourMyCrush so that other advertisers can put their ads on my site. What kind of success will be seen from this is anyones guess, however since yesterday I have already made an additional few $$$ from the AdBrite system. Hopefully this can start to replace my Google Ads on other websites since the payouts started dropping down.

All in all this is an exciting but time consuming new project. The hope is that the site will make enough to pay off all debts and start another couple of projects that will make the really big money. At the moment it should work but there is always every chance that it wont. I will keep you posted of course.

Thats cool. You should bring this to the US. Simple, quick and kids will eat it up.

So when someone goes to the site and sends a text to someone what does it say or do? Just that someone has a crush on them?

Am currently looking into how to bring this to the USA. You are not the first to ask about this. :)

As for the function. It send a message to your crush, they go to the site and send a crush to who they think it may be. If the details they enter are yours then the system knows there is a match and lets you both know.

These are the basic functions at the moment and will be expanded upon shortly.

At the moment just really trying to get some marketing going and some back links coming in… :)

Gotcha. What’s dificult? Do you have to find a US based sms provider or whatever you need?

Alex can explain far better than me. But in short, the US are far behind us on reverse billing SMS etc.

It is quite complicated. Reverse SMS billing isn’t as far advanced as it is here in Europe, and the whole concept of common cross-network shortcodes is still quite new.

US coverage is something that me and Dave have talked about, but it’s not a tomorrow, or next week job.
