Site Launch: Eating Britain

Auto Date Sunday, September 3rd, 2006

eatingbritlogo2.jpgJust launched a new website today that hopefully will be the entry into pro blogging for myself and Sarah. The site, Eating Britain, is a new UK food blog that will include more personal entries, success with certain foods, general and interesting food news and everything else you would expect.

The key area / niche that we are looking to jump into is a speciality in organic foods, food allergies, and IBS treatment with food through personal experimentation and general advice etc.

I would love your comments. You can choose your route, either www.EatingBritain.com or www.EatingBritain.co.uk. Please give any link love that you can to help us get going. Let us know and we will link back to you too!

Starting a New Business

Auto Date Friday, August 11th, 2006

Having been playing the AIS / Adsense and website game for a hefty number of years I have seen the highs and lows of making money online without any real “product” to speak of. MY most successful was / is DashboardMonkey.com and this still makes a good chunk of cash for me each month.

The latest venture into more “product” based services, including the WaterUtopia website has given me a real thirst for providing real products and building a proper business. Read the rest of this entry »

New Mobile Spreading Website

Auto Date Wednesday, August 2nd, 2006

logo2.jpgYou may have seen that things were a bit quiet for the last few days around here. Well there is good reason for this, a new site that I have launched that once again ties in mobile technology to a website to enable a mobile viral money making solution!

Just what am I on about? Well you may recall that I recently launched TextAnonymous.com where you can send anonymous text messages? Well… Read the rest of this entry »

Getting into the Adult Space

Auto Date Tuesday, July 25th, 2006

adu.jpgThat title can certainly sound like its very own innuendo, but in this instance it aptly heads this post on the online Adult genre of sites, pictures, videos and the other variations thereof.

I have read a few bloggers within our community lately that have been toying with getting into this particular area of website design. Indeed this is something that I have thought about giving a go myself over the years. Read the rest of this entry »

Thousands of hits and no 1 rankings

Auto Date Friday, July 21st, 2006

textanon.JPGWith the help of Alex at DotComDosh I put together TextAnonymous.com around 2 weeks ago. Since then the site has been covered by a number of mobile portals, indexed by the search engines, had many hits, and is currently getting some amazing number one ranking positions in Google and MSN etc.

What is most exciting about all of this is that the site consists of just one page (two if you count the pop-up for the terms and conditions) but still gets these great rankings. Read the rest of this entry »

Creating a Viral Campaign

Auto Date Wednesday, July 19th, 2006

viral3.jpgNo, I do not mean a furtile treament course, I mean a “virus” type marketing campaign that spreads on it’s own due to how odd or interesting it is. I have started work on a brand spanking new Viral Campaign which I will announce here shortly.

The reason for me creating this campaign is 2 fold. Firstly I want to see if I can. Am I able to create something that will spread and be noted in many places, is it possible to create a viral campaign or do they create themselves? Read the rest of this entry »

Clear Cut Guides: Setting Up a Shop

Auto Date Wednesday, July 19th, 2006

clearcutlogo1.jpgI am in the mist of writing a very clear guide to setting up online stores for those of you that may normally struggle. I plan to cover everything from domains and hosting, through to software set up and general running of the store. I will even be including places to source your products from too.

What I want to know from you is what you would really like to have covered in the guide. Any particular areas that currently bamboozle you? Read the rest of this entry »

£634 in 2 months via WaterUtopia.com

Auto Date Wednesday, July 19th, 2006

waterdrop.jpgA couple of months ago I set up www.waterutopia.com as a new online store venture. The key reason for this was to start working with drop shipping companies (meaning not having to hold any stock) and also because there seemed to be a lack of any “quality” players within the market.

So far the store has been doing quite well. The recent good weather has given the shop a small surge in orders and enquiries, but generally the frequency of orders Read the rest of this entry »

New Anonymous SMS site online

Auto Date Tuesday, July 4th, 2006

anonymouslogo1.jpgI have been able to put a new site online called TextAnonymous.com that allows you to send Anonymous text / sms messages via the internet thanks to lots of help and code from our good friend Alex.

Once the domain has been indexed I am going to redesign the entire site and start playing with the SEO side to see the best traffic generation techniques and indeed to find out how to get the hits to convert really well. At this point I can come and tell you all how to do it to. :)

I am of course no stranger to SEO and converting sites, however this one is slightly different in the sense that you have to get the user to include their mobile in the action rather than just typing on their keyboard. As such I think that getting the hits to convert will be on a slightly different level, thus the experiement.

Getting dirty with RSSG site generator

Auto Date Tuesday, July 4th, 2006

Niche Market Post ImageHaving played with RSSG and RSSGM a few months back I have decided to come back at the system full force. The emphasis will be on two key factors: Making a unique template and growing the site slowly over time.

I plan to use affiliate programs in the sites rather than just adwords, however these will still be included further down the page. I figure that if I can get some affiliate sales converting I will make more money in the long run.

To see an example RSSG website you can have a look at www.badbreaths.co.uk. Here I have replaced the old wordpress site with a generated one. I have yet to see how this will effect the traffic and indeed the adsense earnings but I will of course keep you posted.

I will talk more about the affiliate RSSG site here soon and quite probably in more detail in the forums where I will also be answering any questions you have.

NetDosh is up for sale

Auto Date Friday, June 30th, 2006

netdosh.JPGI want to bring all my efforts back to Brighton Vibes and the Brighton Vibes Forums, as such I am offloading the NetDosh.com domain, site and content. If anyone is interested I am looking for a reasonable offer of say, at least $100. I will accept bids for the site and content via email or comments on this post. The highest bidder by the 7th of July will get the site, domain, etc

I can set up hosting etc for you via Site5 if you wish as well but that is up to you really. If no one wants it I will probably just stick RSSG up on the domain and be done with it.
